Importing Students from Your School System

DrillReady can import student rosters directly from a CSV export. It automatically detects the format from PowerSchool, FACTS, or a generic CSV from Google Sheets or Excel.

PowerSchool

1. Log in to PowerSchool as an administrator.
2. Go to System → Page and Data Management → Data Export Manager.
3. Select Students as the data type.
4. Include these fields: Last_Name, First_Name, Grade_Level.
5. Export as CSV and save the file to your iPhone via Files or AirDrop.
6. In DrillReady, go to Settings → Import from CSV, select Students, and choose the file.

FACTS SIS / RenWeb

1. Log in to FACTS SIS as an administrator.
2. Go to Reports → Student Reports → Student List (or Data Export).
3. Include these fields: Last Name, First Name, Grade.
4. Export as CSV and save the file to your iPhone via Files or AirDrop.
5. In DrillReady, go to Settings → Import from CSV, select Students, and choose the file.
Tip: Ask your FACTS administrator for "a CSV student export with Last Name, First Name, and Grade columns."

Google Sheets or Excel

Create a spreadsheet with these columns in order: Name, Grade, Homeroom Teacher (Homeroom Teacher is optional). Each row should be one student.

Example:
Name, Grade, HomeroomTeacher
John Smith, 6A, Ms. Adams

Export or download as CSV, save to your iPhone, then import in DrillReady under Settings → Import from CSV.

What happens to duplicate students?

DrillReady skips any student whose name exactly matches one already in your roster. The import result screen shows how many were added and how many were skipped.
